Beaches

The authoritative sources, brought together.

RipCo does not replace the official sources for beach conditions. It brings them together in one place, so you can check wind, swell, tide, water temperature, patrol flags and hazard reports without opening six different sites. Each condition below links to its authoritative source.

Sydney coverage

Every beach on one map.

Hover or tap a pin for live conditions. The conditions shown come from public sources and are available for every listed beach. Live rip detection currently starts at Manly and is rolling out to more Australian beaches, so it is never implied where it does not run.

The authorities

Where the information comes from.

These are the authoritative sources for Australian beach conditions and water safety. RipCo brings them together and points you back to them. It does not replace them.

Starting at Manly Beach

RipCo starts at Manly Beach and is built to scale to other Australian beaches over time. Coverage depends on a beach having a public camera feed to work with. Wherever RipCo reaches, the rule stays the same: swim between the red and yellow flags and follow the lifeguards.

One place to check before you go.

RipCo is coming to the App Store, starting at Manly Beach. Early access opens before launch.

Whatever RipCo shows, swim between the red and yellow flags and follow the lifeguards.
